My husband doesn't drink either, and tries to stay low key about it, but doesn't pretend he does.

Thanks for another great column. (I remember you and Emily as the little girls next door I babysat for,. I remember your parents fondly).

Oh my goodness! I remember you. What I remember most (and I might be wrong that it was you, but I'm pretty sure) is that you told to me to wrap myself up and burrow further inside the blankets on cold nights in order to keep the heat in. I've taken that lesson with me my whole life! haha I hope life has treated you well! How nice to hear from you.

If that was me I have no memory of it. It could have been my friend Deborah, who also babysat for you and Emily. It sounds more like her actually. :) I remember you guys mixing different liquids together and bringing them to me to drink. At one point I thought, they could be poisoning me here, but then I though, nah, they are such sweet little girls, they would never do that. lol.

I died laughing! That was so funny. The way you describe him! I think being honest is nice but but also he has a point. He wants to put people at ease and get to know the other person. He is interesting. I can serve orange juice just as well as wine you know. The world does not revolve around alcohol.

I enjoy a wine but the beer is not for me.

That was a funny read. Poor husband being pressured. I remember that pressure 10 years ago when I got health issues. People kept asking why I don't drink, not believing me that I don't drink, trying to convince me to drink, etc. It can get annoying! Fortunately all our friends are laid back and don't pressure anyone to drink, not their business who drinks or doesn't.

Thank you! It's amazing to me how often people think they know what I want better than I do. Those are never the ones I consider friends. But that was a tough lesson for a younger version of me. :)
