This is a raw and honest glimpse into the life of a writer. Your words resonate deeply, capturing the internal struggles and external perceptions that many of us in the creative field grapple with.
"I claim all this is for my family, but my kids haven’t acknowledged my wisdom in years and I’m not sure my husband’s ever listened." Aaargggh, you got me here. Same, same, same.
To speak out and find peace at the same time is a blessing.
I look forward to every "Kate", every time, with great admiration. A make-up artist friend once admonished me for owning a magnifying mirror. This was back when my eyesight was better. She said that I needed to stop looking at my pores because no one was going to get that close unless I was being kissed. I can still see my pores.
You are an amazing, talented writer. I love reading your essays every week. Looking forward for more and more.

This is a truth it takes many of us a very long time to figure out. I am grateful to have gotten it at all. Thank you!

Thank you, cousin. May you be kissed often, and may they never be thinking about your pores! haha.
Perfectionism is the enemy of progress. Every time.
I APPRECIATE YOU!!! Xxx
